 “PRATHEEKSHA”

International day against the elimination of violence against women

The programme 'Pratheeksha’, celebration for 'The International day for the elimination of violence against women' acquired immense appreciation from the contenders, audience and authorities. Teachers appreciated the uniqueness of each programme, the neat execution and the dedication of students. Motto of the event- Unite against the violence against women – was taken into serious applications, through various theme based programs.

The flash mob succeeded in gaining the attention of the teachers, non teaching staffs, and even the children from nearby institutions. By giving out the banners of the programme in the end of flash mob, a general awareness of the day, and its aim was delivered. By conducting a gathering of not just students, but also teachers and the learned, a sharing of ideas, thoughts, and ways of managing the present situations of women was effectively discussed. From the talks and visions shared by Principal Valsala Ma’am and Vice Principal Meera Ma’am, the gathering successfully discussed and interfered the present living conditions, causes and effects of condition of woman in the society. The fashion show depicting eminent female figures was a peek into the history of the world and contribution of women- inspiring the upcoming generations through them. Pledge focused on turning that inspiration into action by inputting valuable action based thoughts. Even the game played at the end was a look into the remembrance and accessibility of today’s women and their achievement to the common society.

In general, the programme was without doubt a grand success and helped in imparting the right ideas of the day.
