"SPREAD LOVE AND CARE" - Community Based Programme

  “SPREAD LOVE AND CARE” COMMUNITY BASED PROGRAMME   We the first-year teacher educators of BNV College of Teacher Education got an opportunity to visit an old age home for our community-based activity which comes under our B. Ed curriculum. The main objective of our community-based programme is to sensitize the students to the living conditions of the people who are around us and to realise the truth of the society. Students with respected teachers conducted a planning session for choosing the best place to visit. As a result of this, we decided to visit an old age home near to our college named ‘KRIPATHEERAM’ situated 6.5 km far from our college. Kripatheeram (a home for homeless) is a charity organization run by Holy Family Congregation established on January 18 th , 2012. It is not just limited up to torturing or dismantling a child on a physical basis, but mental and sexual harassment is also a part of it. Sometimes in many cases, parents are found to be guilty of such major problems in society. The goal of different types of child abuse also differs in every situation. For instance, parents abusing their child by forcing him to work at minor age are backed by the financial crisis of the family. Similarly, mental torture could be given to a child for performing below the par in his studies. All these pressures restrict the proper growth of children which leads to many crises in society. Child abuse is rising with increasing poverty and competition among people.   “PRATHEEKSHA” International day against the elimination of violence against women The programme 'Pratheeksha’, celebration for 'The International day for the elimination of violence against women' acquired immense appreciation from the contenders, audience and authorities. Teachers appreciated the uniqueness of each programme, the neat execution and the dedication of students. Motto of the event- Unite against the violence against women – was taken into serious applications, through various theme based programs. The flash mob succeeded in gaining the attention of the teachers, non teaching staffs, and even the children from nearby institutions. By giving out the banners of the programme in the end of flash mob, a general awareness of the day, and its aim was delivered. By conducting a gathering of not just students, but also teachers and the learned, a sharing of ideas, thoughts, and ways of managing the present situations of women was effectively discussed.   OUR B.ED BATCH 2022-2024 INAGURATION AND OUR FIRST PROGRAMME TALENT DAY ON  11TH OCTOBER 2022 We the B.Ed. trainees of BNV College of Teacher Education got a wonderful opportunity to conduct the Talent day as well as our batch inauguration .  Sreekutty from our Batch named the programme as  " CARPE   DIEM 22 " Which means " used to  urge    someone to make the most of the present time and give little thought to the future." Sruthy Poovattil from our batch make the poster of the programme.
